Each room has been designed uniquely with the furnishings and is a narrating voice in itself within an enchanted polyphony of colours and magic.
Attention is placed on eco-sustainability, large windows for natural lighting, energy saving lighting design, heat accumulation, natural and ecological use of materials, non-toxic substances, renewable energy production systems which ensure the respect for the environment and psychophysical well-being of the guest.
Rooms
Each room is dedicated to an Etruscan divinity and the rooms of the Tenuta Ponziani are an exclusive environment of charm and design which offers the privilege of uniqueness and all the comforts of a hotel, even for those long reservations. Ancient and modern at the same time mixed with knowledge and charm: walls made of local stone are blended with modern designs, antique furnishings are mixed with contemporary design pieces giving uniqueness. There are three jewels: one has contemporary works of art, ancient furniture and a fireplace; the other opens itself to the hilly green landscape and a few steps away from the swimming pool, which is perfect for families; the third romantic one is surrounded by a private garden, a small wood protected by bushes which give moments of unforgettable intimacy.
Swimming pool
You can immerse yourself in clear waters of the large swimming pool overlooking the valley, by almost having the illusion of being in an artificial lake, a mirage among the surrounding green hills. Muffled by silence and amongst the colours of the landscape, the gaze of the contemplative and fascinated traveller is lost on the horizon: depending on the atmospheric weather, you could get confused between the mist in the distance with a grey autumn sea or even a gathering of low white clouds in a candid expanse of snow.
Garden
Ornamental gardens, terraced lawns, bushes of Mediterranean maquis: the guests, walking along paths outlined inside the garden, will themselves in front of unusual perspectives and glimpses. Crossing the “gallery” of the fruit orchard with the smell of ripe seasonal fruits, you will arrive at the “garden of the five senses” inebriating yourself with the fragrances of medicinal herbs and then relax on the extensive meadows or rest under an age-old acacia, which tells the story of a rich location of pasts yet to be deciphered.
Restaurant with veranda
The exclusive restaurant has an intimate traditional room with refined and warmly furnished stone walls to create a typical Umbrian atmosphere and an elegant veranda, a modern “winter garden” which, with its transparency, places guests at the centre of the surrounding nature. Itinerant and personalised set-ups, gastronomic sensorial experiences, allow you to meet every guest to make every moment special. It is also possible to book the estate for one or more days and reserve up to thirty between family members and friends in this magically exclusive place.
Cave cellar
An almost “secretive” entrance leads to the fascinating cave cellar which is an ancient place of conservation of wines and wild game of Count Valentini, owner of the lands from which the original residence took its name. A suffused setting where you can taste the regional excellences or, upon request, spend a private evening with a romantic candlelight dinner.
